Similar to our open water fishing 101 course, this is our entry level package that is designed for the fisherman or fisherwoman who has little to no ice fishing experience. It can also be a refresher option for those with some prior experience and are looking to refresh on some fundamental skills or fill in knowledge gaps.
The course fee includes a starter fishing package for each attendee (Rod/Reel, small tackle box with some basic tackle, and reference book)
Course includes 2 1/2-3 hour guided fishing excursion

The recommended age range for this package is between 8 years old and adult. Max group size with included heated ice shelter is 6 people (Max: 4 children and 1 adult or 2 Adults). Larger group options are available by special request. An adult is required to attend the course with children under the age of 18.
Session duration is generally around 4 hours including a 2-3 hour guided fishing excursion. The standard course cost varied depending on the tailored package. A basic fishing package will be provided to each guest. Guests are responsible for getting a fishing license prior to the course, support/guidance can be provided if needed. If fishing yields enough fish for a meal, an optional classic Midwest Shore lunch (fried fish) can be added for a small fee. This would include filleting fish, prepping them, and a meal.
