What is the Darkhouse Spearing 101 Package?
In this course you will learn foundational skills mixed with some moderns tools to create your own "Outdoor TV." We will show you how to find the ideal spearing location, cut a large hole in the ice, remove the ice blocks, and setup the darkhouse. That's just touching the basics, from there we can cover the gear used to lure in Northern Pike and what it takes to get one with a spear. We will also cover important aspects such as water clarity, spear throwing, and end of day safety items. This course can also be a refresher option for those with some prior experience and are looking to refresh on some fundamental skills or fill in knowledge gaps.

Age and Group Size
The recommended age range for this package is between 8 years old and adult. Max group size with included heated ice shelter is 6 people (Max: 4 children and 1 adult or 2 Adults). Larger group options are available by special request. An adult is required to attend the course with children under the age of 18.
Session Considerations and Rates
Session duration is generally around 4 hours including a 3-4 hour guided fishing excursion. The standard course cost varies depending on the tailored package. Guests are responsible for getting a fishing license prior to the course, support/guidance can be provided if needed. Please reach out to setup a package and receive a quote.
If fishing yields enough fish for a meal, an optional classic Midwest Shore lunch (fried fish) can be added for a small fee. This would include filleting fish, prepping them, and a meal.
